About the Author
Alan Smith is the head of the corporate AV department at a leading AV integrator in London. Despite being dyslexic, Alan has a passion for storytelling and enjoys crafting whimsical tales. He loves sharing these stories with his three children, making bedtime a magical experience. Alan’s unique perspective and creativity shine through in both his professional and personal life, inspiring those around him.
His writing journey has taken flight with “What’s Inside the Shed,” a heartfelt project born from his love of childhood wonder and curiosity. The inspiration for this story came from various sources close to his heart. Magical moments spent with his children as they grew up, have served as a constant source of inspiration.
The old shed in the front garden of his family home growing up a place of mystery and adventure during his own childhood, also played a pivotal role in shaping the narrative. Additionally, the beloved toy cat, affectionately named Meow & MeowMeow by his two younger children, added a touch of whimsy and charm to the tale.
Encouraged by the enthusiastic response to his initial project, he has set out to share this enchanting story with a broader audience, hoping to inspire young readers to let their imaginations run wild.

About the Illustrator
Abdellah is a truly fantastic Children’s book Illustrator based in the heart of Casablanca, where the scent of spices mingles with the sea breeze.
He is a true maestro of ink and pixels and specialises in children picture books where his illustrations invite children to tiptoe through secret garden gates, ride paper boats down rivers, and converse with friendly monsters. So when you wander the sun-drenched streets of Casablanca, keep an eye out for Abdellah. He might be sketching a flying carpet or coaxing rainbows from dewdrops. and if he’s not drawings look to the coast where you might catch him sea fishing.
